Richmond Vale beach is the longest beach in St.Vincent along the west coast (leeward) side of the island. With the west coast one finds smooth sailing with easier wind conditions and glassy waters making it possible to cruise along the coast with ease. Along with this beach comes the end of the road which leads up to the western trail towards the volcano La Soufriere.
A popular local for a fishing community but seeing many pleasure craft often passing by in the distance. This beach attracts many sorts of visitors due to its secluded beach and tamed ocean on the leeward side of the island. The seas are almost always delicate and calm due to the mountains blocking the eastern winds.
Looking in a Southernly direction, one can see the communities further down the coastline. This portrays the seclusion from the nearest town/village.
The black sand sparkles like the night sky, providing a truly different take on how beaches are portrayed, and what is possible.
